Shunsui Kyoraku of Team 13

Shunsui Kyōraku is a tall, light-skinned man with high cheekbones, grey eyes and long wavy brown hair. His hair is tied in a long ponytail and has long bangs that frame the left side of his face. He also has a noticeable amount of body hair on his chest, feet, and arms. He wears a straw hat and a pink, flowered lady's kimono, which he drapes across his shoulders and over his Jounin uniform. Although his haori and obi sash are cheap, his pin-wheel hairpins are very expensive. He does not wear tabi with his traditional samurai sandals. He has thin facial hair around his mouth and on his cheeks.

Personality

Shunsui is a laid-back and flamboyant man, evident in his style of dress and general attitude, and is rarely seen without a smile. In his off time, he often drinks sake in bars and naps. He likes steamed buns that go with sake, but dislikes powdered green tea, especially after Naruto and Yoruichi swapped his sake with it. Other times, he likes to chase after women; particularly his strict girlfriend, Nanao Kuchiki, whom he calls "my Nanao-chan" and her older sister, Lisa Kuchiki. Shunsui tends to use a more casual speech style than many other Jounin and chunnin. He generally refers to his fellow Jounin and ninja by their first name followed by an honorific. Shunsui wrote a romance novel titled "Rose-colored Path" while helping his sensei Jiraiya peep, which runs in Konoha Market, but is very unpopular. Shunsui does not receive a single fan letter or gift for his birthday from his readers, but he is not bothered by this at all.

Kyōraku is a peace-loving man who will always try to talk his way out of battles, though he doesn't wish to insult opponents by refusing to fight. The slightly eccentric Kyōraku also seems to like making an impression on opponents. Though Kyōraku tries to talk his way out of a fight, he will fight when the situation demands it; as seen in his battle with the missing nin, Ikari Tenro. When the Zanderiech member, Hiroshi Uzumaki, asked that they only pretend to fight, he declines the offer, though notes that he prefers to do the same. He maintains a level of honor and integrity when engaging in battle. He refuses to fight with children or even in the presence of a child. He always maintains a veil of respect for his opponent, is polite in combat situations and prefers to fight one on one. When fighting powerful opponents, like Pein or Madara, he rarely loses his cool, going as far as to make small talk and joke around with his opponents.

• The Village of Konoha / Village Hidden in the Leaf

Konoha is a hidden shinobi village located in the vast forests of Fire Country. It is a secret village that many know about due to it being among the five great ninja villages. It is not located on a map due to it being a shinobi village. The Village itself is covered in a barrier to ward away unwanted visitors.

HISTORY OF SHUNSUI

Shunsui Kyoraku was born to a young kunoichi after she was raped before the beginning the Third Shinobi war. He was raised by Jiraiya of the Sannin, after the man found Shunsui roaming the streets at the age of three when his mother died.

In Shunsui's case he is naturally gifted with Taijutsu, ninjutsu and kenjutsu, he was placed on a genin team with Minato Namikaze, Konoha's Yellow Flash and Mikoto Uchiha under his foster father, Jiraiya. He helped save the Princess of the Land of Water after the war had started when the Water Daimyo refused to aid Kumo, Iwa and Kiri in the war against Konoha.

A few years after becoming Jounin with his team, Jiraiya and Shunsui's teammates helped create their individual styles, Shunsui's Two Heavens Kenjutsu style, Minato's Hirashin and Mikoto's Black Crow Interceptor style. He signed the heron contract to complete his style by adding their grace and form to his blade work. Completely setting his Kenjutsu style as the best sword style in the Elemental nations after he destroyed an entire Iwa battalion by himself at the same time his former teammate, Minato, used Hirashin to massacred a battalion.

After the Kyuubi attack, Shunsui traveled around the Elemental nations with a Sannin pass, to take a view on life and purpose. He was called back to Konoha after the Invasion during the Chunnin exams to teach a genin team consisting of the second Shihoin branch heiress, Yoruichi; the Shiba clan heiress, Kukaku and the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki, Naruto Uzumaki after the Uzumaki attempted suicide to escape the prejudiced of Konoha's civilians and genin Team 7.

Shunsui is highly proficient in Wind, earth and fire Elements, he has chakra levels that rival the seven tails and is capable of facing two Kages by himself, an example is when he fought against the reanimated edo tensei 3rd Raikage and 3rd Kazekage. He is a master in Kenjutsu, ninjutsu and taijutsu, Shunsui is a SS-ranked later on. He has high skill in Ninjutsu and elemental jutsus.
